The NAIS People of Color Conference is a leadership development experience that provides people of color (and experienced allies of all backgrounds) a unique space for learning, networking, and engaging critical conversations about the ways race and ethnicity influence all areas of independent school life. Now in its 29th year, PoCC serves independent schools, their faculty, and students by affirming the lived experience of people who by virtue of their racial or ethnic identity occupy a minority status. PoCC advances cultural competency in independent schools through its content selection and delivery, keynote speakers, practitioner-led workshops, and extensive affinity dialogue sessions.
